General Description
This project aims to implement a Center for Innovation of Musaceae and Tropical Fruits in the municipality of Chimoré in the department of Cochabamba, with the purpose of contributing to the continuous process of research, validation, systematization, dissemination, and technology transfer. The project had 3 stages: Stage 1: Verification and adjustment to the Design. Stage 2: Execution of Construction and complementary activities. Stage 3: Testing Period. The scope of the project includes verification and adjustment to the designs and good execution in each of its phases, framed by the norms for specialty and current construction standards, with the purpose of achieving the optimal balance between technical, economic, social, and environmental aspects for its proper functioning. The characteristics of the infrastructure and basic services of the project are: Biotechnology laboratory, Entomology laboratory, Phytopathology laboratory, Soil laboratory, Administrative office and dormitory area, Housing for technical personnel, Control booth, Water capture, provision, and conduction system for the innovation center, as well as drinking water for consumption. Electrical system, Enclosures, Vehicle and pedestrian circulation areas. Controlled greenhouses, Technified nursery. Conventional nurseries. Technically, the Innovation Center acts as a strategic node for the development and adoption of advanced technologies in the sector of musaceae and tropical fruits. By integrating specialized laboratories (biotechnology, entomology, phytopathology, and soils), applied research is facilitated in crucial areas such as genetic improvement, integrated pest and disease management, soil management optimization, and efficient propagation of high-quality plant material (technified nursery, controlled greenhouses). The support infrastructure (offices, housing) ensures the continuous operation of the center and the effective transfer of research results to producers through dissemination and training. The project is located in the Tropics of Cochabamba, Municipality of Chimoré, a place where 15.3 Ha are available.

El presente proyecto tiene como objetivo implementar un Centro de Innovación de Musáceas y Frutas Tropicales en el municipio de Chimoré del departamento de Cochabamba con la finalidad de contribuir con el proceso continuo de investigación, validación, sistematización, difusión y transferencia de tecnología. El proyecto tuvo 3 etapas: Etapa 1: Verificación y reajuste al Diseño. Etapa 2: Ejecución de la Construcción y actividades complementarias. Etapa 3: Periodo de Prueba. El alcance del proyecto contempla la verificación y el reajuste a los diseños y la buena ejecución en cada una de sus fases, enmarcadas las normas por especialidad y estándares de construcción vigentes, con la finalidad de alcanzar el óptimo equilibrio entre los aspectos técnicos, económicos, sociales y ambientales para su correcto funcionamiento. Las características de la infraestructura y servicios básicos del proyecto son: Laboratorio de biotecnología, Laboratorio de entomología, Laboratorio de fitopatología, Laboratorio de suelos, Área de oficinas administrativas y dormitorios, Viviendas para personal Técnico, Caseta de control, Sistema de Captación, provisión y conducción de agua para el centro de innovación, así como agua potable para consumo. Sistema eléctrico, Cerramientos, Áreas de circulación vehicular y peatonal. Invernaderos Controlados, Plantinera Tecnificada. Viveros convencionales. Técnicamente, el Centro de Innovación actúa como un nodo estratégico para el desarrollo y la adopción de tecnologías avanzadas en el sector de musáceas y frutas tropicales. Al integrar laboratorios especializados (biotecnología, entomología, fitopatología y suelos), se facilita la investigación aplicada en áreas cruciales como el mejoramiento genético, el manejo integrado de plagas y enfermedades, la optimización del manejo de suelos y la propagación eficiente de material vegetal de alta calidad (plantinera tecnificada, viveros controlados). La infraestructura de apoyo (oficinas, viviendas) asegura la operatividad continua del centro y la transferencia efectiva de los resultados de investigación a los productores a través de la difusión y capacitación. El proyecto se encuentra ubicado en el Trópico de Cochabamba Municipio de Chimoré, lugar donde se cuenta con 15.3 Ha.
